Job Description

A leading Financial Services Consulting Group in the City of London are looking for an Internal Auditor to join their team in the City of London. This firm offer an excellent package, salary and work-life balance whilst providing consulting to the UK Payments and Banking Industry.

Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for providing a high level of assurance in areas such as integrity, reliability, robustness and resilience of systematically important payment systems (CHAPS and Faster Payments). This will be achieved by identifying and mitigating risks across the end-to-end process, whilst also ensuring that independence is not compromised. This role requires you to have experience of operational and IT audits. You will have an appreciation of a risk based approach to internal controls and an ability to collect, analyse, and evaluate information pertaining to audits and the preparation of written reports of work performed. IIA qualified and knowledge of IT security, banking and clearing is desirable, whilst experience of auditing within the banking or payments industry would be advantageous. Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential as is attention to detail. You should also have experience of influencing others and be skilled in building strong relationships. A considerable part of the role involves meeting clients and key stakeholders so it is essential that you demonstrate professionalism.
