Job Description
A prestigious, world leading investor in private equity secondary`s is looking for a qualified accountant who has at least two years experience in private equity to join the accounting team and work on a temporary basis up until the end of the financial year with the view to becoming a permanent member of the team.
As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for managing the preparation of the Financial Statements under IFRS and UK GAAP. There will also be the opportunity to work closely with key members of the Financial Management Team, ensuring a good standard of service is maintained throughout the Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare financial reports under UK GAAP
Liaise with departments external to Finance involved in contributing to the process in addition to the external auditors for full audit.
Research new IFRS, UK FRS and US FAS followed by implementation of new standards into existing processes so that both subsidiary reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS reporting runs smoothly.
In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you meet the following minimum requirements:
Qualified from a top ten professional services organisation
At least two years experience in private equity
Obtained a degree with at least a 2.1
Possess excellent numeric skills
Strong communication and leadership skills
