Job Description
This fixed-term 6 month contract is an excellent opportunity to be part of a large investment management group and to build on previous experience in a challenging and driven environment.
As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for providing high quality financial information and support to the investment consulting unit within the group. There will also be the opportunity to work closely with key members of the Financial Management Team, ensuring a good standard of service is maintained between the Finance Department and the Client.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify the key areas of the Finance Department that need to be reviewed and improved, taking action by recommending ways to develop and implement change over the contract period.
Liaise with departments external to Finance involved in contributing to the process in addition to the external auditors for full audit.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasts and FSA forecasts for the clients and also quarterly/half year and annual FSA returns for all companies managed.
Be aware of all income streams and accrued income calculations in order to employ a robust income recognition system.
Understand Monthly Management Accounts as part of team review to ensure new transactions are treated correctly.
Provide sensitivity analysis and financial modelling as required by the client, financial controller or financial director in order to better interpret or predict financial information.
In order to be considered for this role, it is essential that you meet the following requirements:
Qualified Management Accountant, qualification not specific
A Bachelors degree or equivalent
At least two years experience in the Investment Management Sector
